  • Which areas do you serve?

    We proudly provide dog walking and pet sitting in Astoria and Long Island City (LIC). If you’re searching for local pet sitters or home pet services near me in Queens, you’re in the right place.

  • What are your safety protocols, especially in Astoria?

    We want your pooch to have the best time with our walkers, but we also prioritize health and safety during these walks. For these reasons, Astoria Fetch does not offer off leash walks or trips to the dog park. While those are perfectly fine for pet owners, we do not want to put our dogs, or walkers, in situations that increase their chances of something happening, especially something out of our control. We also require vet information for each animal, as well as an emergency contact, so we are prepared if any pet gets sick, injured or lost. It’s better to be overprepared than under!

  • How do you communicate updates during and after walks?

    Transparency is key and we want our pet owners to have peace of mind when they are away from their fur babies! Our walkers/sitters use the Scout app to track our walks through real time GPS, communicate notes for the owners, start the walks with pictures of your pet and let you know all the important details throughout the visit

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Life happens, and we want our pet owners to know we understand and try to be as flexible as possible. However, we still need to pay our walkers and be aware of our ever changing schedules.  Our cancellation policy and fees can be found here. But don’t ever hesitate to reach out and we will always try to accommodate!

  • Do you offer other services besides dog walking?

    Yes! Astoria Fetch offers in-home pet care like drop-in visits, overnight stays, medication administration and feeding. Our home pet services are ideal for cats, puppies, senior dogs and pets that thrive with one-on-one attention.

  • Can you provide references or reviews from other Astoria clients?

    Absolutely! We can share local testimonials, rave reviews and positive references from our many happy pet owners.

  • Do you walk multiple dogs at once?

    Generally, our dog walking services are private and one-on-one. If you have multiple dogs in the same household, we’re happy to walk them together for an additional $5 per dog. This approach keeps your dogs safe, ensures personalized care, and avoids unnecessary stress.

  • Can I meet my dog walker beforehand?

    Yes! We offer a complimentary meet-and-greet to get to know your pet’s routine, personality and preferences. It’s part of how we deliver the best dog walking service and ensure your dog feels comfortable with their new companion.

  • Do you offer pet sitting for cats too?

    Yes! We offer 30-minute cat drop-in visits, which include feeding, playtime, and litter care. If you’re looking for in-home pet care for cats, we’ve got your feline covered.

  • Do you offer weekend or holiday services?

    Yes! We offer weekend dog walking and pet sitting, subject to availability.

    For major holidays, a 25% surcharge applies (New Year’s Eve/Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day). Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a holiday trip, book early to secure your spot!
