Below you’ll find important information about our payment policies, cancellation terms, and holiday surcharges for dog walking and pet sitting services in Astoria and Long Island City (LIC), Queens.

Overnight Pet Sitting Payment Policy

When you book overnight pet sitting in Astoria, we block out a dedicated 24-hour window to give your pets full-time care and companionship. To secure your reservation:

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the scheduled start of your pet sitting service.

  • If full payment is not received within 24 hours of the service start time, Astoria Fetch reserves the right to cancel the job, and your 25% deposit will be forfeited.

We appreciate your understanding, this helps us provide reliable availability and top-quality care for every pet in our community.

Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Cancellation Policy

We know plans change! Here’s what to expect when cancelling dog walking or pet sitting services:

Dog Walks:

  • Free cancellation with 48 hours’ notice or more.

  • 50% fee for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance.

  • 100% charge for same-day cancellations (less than 24 hours before the scheduled walk).

This policy ensures our professional dog walkers are compensated fairly for their time and allows us to manage scheduling efficiently across Astoria and LIC.

Holiday Surcharges

We offer flexible payment methods to keep things simple and secure:

Planning a holiday getaway? Please note that all services booked on the following holidays will include a 25% surcharge:

  • New Year’s Eve

  • New Year’s Day

  • July 4th

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

Astoria Fetch offers limited availability on major holidays. We recommend booking early to reserve your preferred dates for dog walking or pet sitting.

Payment Options

  • Credit Card (3% processing fee applies to all credit card payments)

Invoices are sent through our client portal, and payments are due according to the timing outlined above for each service.
